PETROKEM 3DOT 2K AUTO PRIMER (Base + Activator)

Petrokem 3Dot 2K Auto Primer is a two component, high quality isocyanate free primer for refinishing of vehicles. Recommended to use over all metal surfaces (steel, aluminium, zinc, copper etc.) as a high quality anticorrosive protective primer. The product can also be used as a high quality protective primer for hard plastic, wood, Fiberglass or over most other similar surfaces. 3Dot 2K Auto primer is resistant to salty sea spray and therefore recommended to use in coastal areas. The product should be applied immediately after the cleaning process of the metal. The product can be over coated with 3Dot 2K Auto Filler, Petrokem Carpach Metal Filler or 3Dot Polyester Putty Fine.

• Coverage – Approximately 10 – 12 m² per 1 litre of mixed primer

Application

• Mix thoroughly equal volumes of Petrokem 3Dot 2K Auto Primer base and activator. Five minutes of thorough mixing is recommended. Use the mixture within 1-1.5 hours.
• Apply the mixture to the surface by using a suitable spray equipment (at 40-60psi) or brush/roller. The primer should be applied to the bare metal for anticorrosive protection and for best results.
• Allow the primer to dry at least for 60 minutes. Then apply Petrokem Carpach Metal Filler, 3Dot Polyester Putty Fine or 3Dot 2K auto Filler over the 3 dot 2K Auto Primer.
• For other structural metal or steel work – Apply one or two coats of 3Dot 2K Auto Primer and a high quality protective to coat such as Petrokem 3Dot 2K Acrylic paint for colour/weather/corrosion protection.
