APPLICATIONÂ
SURFACE PREPARATIONÂ
The surface must be clean and sound │free from loose particles, dirt, grease, wax, oil etc. │ for loose plaster and damaged areas remove the defective materials and re-plaster the area │If the climate condition is too hot, windy & too dried surfaces, dampen dry surface before application to avoid bubble formation at the application. Â
APPLICATION PROCEDUREÂ
Add required amount of water to a bucket and mix with SKIM COAT PUTTY (Usually around 5-8kg water for 20kg pack). │For best results slowly add powder to water by mixing. │ keep the mixture rest for 3-5 min prior application. │ Mix thoroughly using a slow speed electric drill fitted with paddle for few minutes until desired homogeneous paste is achieved. │ Mix only sufficient compound for 1 hour working time.Â
Apply mixed SKIM COAT PUTTY with a hand trowel on clean and dust free surfaces. │As the surface coat hardens, trowel up the surface with a light flat toweling action, to achieve a dense smooth finish. │Nippon skim coat putty can be applied in a layer ranging from 1 to 3 mm in thickness. │After the first application keep it drying for 3-4 hours and apply second coat. │For the hard drying keep it for 24 hours after the second coat application. │To obtain the smooth surfaces, sanding should be required with 120 grid sandpaper. │Once the putty has dried the final coats such as wall primers and decorative paints can be applied.Â

Generally, covers 10-15 sq.ft. per kg (200-300 sq. ft. per 20kg pack). This will depend on the nature of the wall and the thickness of the coat.Â
