Dulux Weathershield Powerflexx is a technologically advanced exterior emulsion which protects the exterior walls from patches of dampness in addition to algae and fungus formation caused by rain & high humid conditions. Dulux weather shield Powerflexx with its unique water resistance technology covers hair line cracks and prevent water ingress, preventing dampness not only in the exteriors but also the interior of the house.

It also has the Stay Clean Technology that resists dirt and dust better than other elastomeric paints. Its special UV-cross-linking function binds paint molecules upon sun exposure. As a result, dirt and dust do not penetrate the paint film easily, making it easier for the rain to wash them away.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease or wax. Remove all loose or defective paint or powdery residues by thorough brushing and scraping, using a stiff fiber brush and high pressure water jet. Treat any areas affected mold, lichens, algae and moss with Dulux Fungicidal Wash. Surfaces that remain powdery, friable or chalky after thorough preparation should be sealed with one coat of an appropriate Primer.

• Powdery Surfaces – Apply 1 coat of Masonry sealer [ solvent born] thin down to 25%to 40%
• New Surfaces – Apply one coat of Interior/Exterior Sealer
• Normal, Sound Surfaces – If hair line cracks appear, apply 1 coat of Crack Bridging primer
