Used on timber decks and garden furniture where high UV, Salt spray & abrasion resistance is required. Highly abrasion resistance waxy water based acrylic sealer. Excellent UV stability. Water proofing film, protects the wood wet voting, fungal & algal growth.
Application Description
- Brush, roller or spray.
- 20% Water for the 1st coat & no dilution for the 2nd & 3rd Coat.
For new wood, Prime with 1 coat of Dulux Wood Guard Diamond Tough Exterior Deck and Furniture Protector thinned with 20% water. Apply in the direction of the grain. Follow up with 2 to 3 coats of Dulux Wood Guard Diamond Tough Exterior Deck and Furniture Protector without thinning. Allow at least 30 minutes between coats before re coating.
Surface Preparation:Â Surfaces previously coated with paint or flaking varnish must be completely stripped and removed. Scrape off any mould or algae, then scrub using an appropriate solution or diluted bleach. Leave for 48 hours. Wash down and allow to dry.
Rub down along the grain with fine grade sand paper to remove any sharp edges, raised grain or weathered wood. Fill any deep cracks or holes with a suitable wood putty. Clean to ensure all areas are free from dirt, dust, grease or wax. Ensure the surface is dry before painting.
Coverage: upto 240 sq.ft depends on the surface porosity.
